Synopsis

Aang awakens after 100 years to find he is the only remaining airbender

An avatar is the only one who can wield all four elements - water, earth, fire and air. When Avatar Aang is frozen for 100 years, chaos erupts as the fire nation uses the opportunity to spread their power and control. With Katara and Sokka finding Aang’s hiding place, the series follows their mission to restore peace across the four nations and face up to the all-powerful fire nation.

Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action series adaptation comes to Netflix

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a live-action adventure fantasy series, and an adaptation of the animated show of the same name. The original animated series premiered on Nickelodeon from 2005 - 2008. Nickelodeon then released a follow-up series, The Legend of Korra, from 2012 - 2014. The series is produced by Rideback and Nickelodeon, and is distributed by Netflix. Dan Lin, producer of Aladdin, Sherlock Holmes and The Lego Movie, is an executive producer alongside Lindsey Liberatore, Michael Goi, Roseanne Liang and Albert Kim. 

Gordon Cormier stars as Avatar Aang in the live-action series, with Kiwawentiio Tarbell as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Dallas Liu as Zuko and with Daniel Dae Kim, known for his role in Lost, as Fire Lord Ozai.
