The upcoming second season of HBO’s post-apocalyptic drama series The Last Of Us is created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. The show is based on Druckmann and Bruce Straley’s 2013 video game series of the same name. The first season of the show was a critical and commercial success, earning five Primetime Emmy Award nominations. The show was renewed for a second season in January 2023, after only two episodes of season one had aired. Season two episodes will be directed by Peter Hoar, Craig Mazin, Neil Druckmann, Kate Herron, Mark Mylod, Nina Lopez-Corrado and Stephen Williams.
Pedro Pascal returns as the smuggler Joel Miller, alongside co-star Bella Ramsey as Ellie, a young girl immune to the Cordyceps infection. The cast features Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Young Mazino as Jesse, Isabela Merced as Dina, Jeffrey Wright as Isaac and Catherine O’Hara.
