Synopsis
What developments await in season 5: Colin's memory loss, Nadja's ambition and Guillermo's life-altering decision
The finale of What We Do in the Shadows season 4 sets the stage for many intriguing developments into season 5. Colin Robinson, now back in his adult form with restored memories, has forgotten the season-long bond he shared with Laszlo. This leads Laszlo to attempt to rebuild their relationship, resulting in amusing moments of confusion for Colin. Nadja's consistent ambition for power and meaningful endeavors continues to be a prominent theme, possibly leading to a collaboration between her and The Guide. The most pressing question revolves around Guillermo's decision to become a vampire, which will drastically alter the dynamics among the characters and pose challenges for Nandor and the other vampires.

What We Do in the Shadows season 5 is the fifth season for the mockumentary horror-comedy TV series created by Jemaine Clement for FX. It is based on the 2014 film of the same name which Clement co-wrote and co-directed with Taika Waititi. The series follows a mockumentary format focusing on the lives of three vampires - Nandor, Laszlo and Nadja - along with an energy vampire named Colin Robinson and Nandor's loyal familiar, Guillermo. It explores how these vampires navigate the modern world and their encounters with other supernatural entities. What We Do in the Shadows has received immense critical acclaim throughout its run including being nominated for the Emmy Awards over fifteen times.
