Returning to civilian life after being deployed abroad is almost impossible. Lynsey is a military engineer who returns to New Orleans after being seriously injured from an IED explosion. Recovery is not simple or straightforward. Not only does Lynsey have to recover her mobility and her memory but she has to process her childhood also. Living with her mother and desperate to return to work, she meets James who is suppressing his own traumatic past. The two learn to trust each other and form a friendship that will carry them both a little further in their journeys.
