What is Kraven the Hunter about?
Kraven the Hunter is an upcoming American superhero film produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel, and follows the story of a superhero known as Kraven the Hunter, who is on a mission to become the best hunter in the world. The film takes place within Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU) and is the fourth film in the series. J.C. Chandor steps in as director for a screenplay written by Richard Wenk, Matt Holloway, and Art Marcum, bringing the Marvel Comics character to the screen. Previously, the character had been considered for inclusion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) by directors Jon Watts and Ryan Coogler.
Who stars in Kraven the Hunter?
Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Sergei Kravinoff (aka Kraven the Hunter), signing on for a multi-picture deal. Taylor-Johnson is joined by Fred Hechinger as Chameleon, Kraven’s half-brother, in addition to Ariana DeBose as Calypso, a voodoo priestess and Kraven’s love interest. Christopher Abbott plays the villain Foreigner, and Oscar-winner Russell Crowe also features.
