The main character in Ballerina was first introduced in John Wick: Chapter 3, but the character was played by Unity Phelan. Ballerina is created by the same team as the John Wick movies, with Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Chad Stahelski producing the film. Len Wiseman is the director of Ballerina, which takes place in the timeframe between John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4.
Ana de Armas stars in Ballerina as Rooney, the female assassin determined to find the people who killed her family. The film also stars Anjelica Huston as The Director, with Lance Reddick as Charon, Keanu Reeves as John Wick, and Ian McShane as the older Winston Scott.
