Synopsis
Captain Pike and crew return on the USS Enterprise
Captain Pike leads a set of expeditions exploring new planets on the USS Enterprise with his trusted crew. The crew includes Uhura, Spock, M’Benga, Number One and Christine Chapel. Set in the 23rd century, years before Star Trek: The Original Series, Season 2 features challenges both from outside the control room and within it. Iconic Star Trek Captain Jame T. Kirk is set to appear while USS Enterprise Captain Christopher Pike must face his tragic destiny.

Paramount renews Star Trek: Strange New Worlds for second season
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2 is a science-fiction television series inspired by the original 1960s Star Trek series. Alex Kurtzman, who wrote Star Trek and Star Trek: Into Darkness, and Henry Alonso Myers (Ugly Betty, The Magicians) serve as producers of the second season.
Anson Mount stars as Christopher Pike, Ethan Peck as Spock, Rebecca Romijn as Number One all reprise their roles from season 1. James T. Kirk is played by Paul Wesley (The Vampire Diaries). Season 2 will also feature a crossover episode between Strange New Worlds and the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks, where the Strange New Worlds characters will appear in animated form, and Lower Deck characters in live-action.
