Christopher Robin & friends get a brutal imagining in indie slasher
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is an independent slasher from Rhys Frake-Waterfield in his directorial debut. Frake-Waterfield also wrote, edited and produced the film. Based on characters from the classic Winnie-the-Pooh books by A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey works as a horror retelling of these characters. In January 2022, the rights to utilize the book’s characters became available to the public domain which led Frake-Waterfield the ability to craft his interesting conceptualization of Pooh and friends.
Jagged Edge Productions and ITN Studios produced the film. It was shot over a ten-day period in England.
Craig David Dowsett portrays Pooh Bear while Chris Cordell joins him as Piglet. Nikolai Leon and Paula Coiz portray Christopher and Mary Robin respectively. Natasha Tosini, Amber Doig-Thorne, May Kelly, and Maria Taylor round out the cast.
