It is the beginning of an ordeal of starvation, savagery and suffering. Many will die. This three-part documentary series explores the stark story of an astonishing journey as told by its survivors, from their capture, the long years of captivity and the added horrors of the Long March itself. With the passing of time their story has been forgotten - until now.
