In Shibuya, teenagers produce music, aided by Virtual Singers including one called Miku. These all live in Sekai, an alternate dimension created by the teenagers’ emotions and accessible via electronic devices. Miku’s seen in a gloomy Sekai, created by the feelings of discouraged musicians. Five musical groups help Miku create a song to connect with these saddened musicians, but when they visit the realm they too experience despair. Instead, the five bands attempt to cheer up the people themselves, to transform Miku’s Sekai into a realm of happiness.
