Synopsis
A lazy orange cat evades responsibility while living with his owner and dog
Garfield is a rotund orange tabby cat with a penchant for cynicism and laziness. A hater of Mondays and a lover of lasagne, Garfield spends most of his days trying to do as little as possible while living with his owner Jon Arbuckle and the enthusiastic dog Odie.

Garfield is an upcoming animated comedy film produced by Columbia Pictures, Alcon Entertainment, and Paws, Inc. It is based on the beloved comic strip of the same name by cartoonist Jim Davis. The comics feature the orange tabby cat, Garfield, as he goes through life doing as little as possible while providing cynical commentary. Mark Dindal directs the film, after previously directing animated features such as The Emperor's New Groove, Chicken Little, and Cats Don’t Dance. It is written by David Reynolds, who also co-wrote the scripts for The Emperor’s New Groove and Finding Nemo.
The lazy orange furball Garfield is voiced by comic actor Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy). He is joined by Samuel L. Jackson, who voices Garfield’s father, Vic. The rest of the cast includes Nicholas Hoult, Ving Rhames, Cecily Strong, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Bowen Yang.
