Together they train her, with Stephen acting as her safety diver, for the most ambitious dive of her career.
The Deepest Breath is a documentary film produced by A24, in collaboration with Motive Films, Ventureland, and RAW for a Netflix release. Irish filmmaker Laura McGann (Revolutions) directs the feature, and composer Nainita Desai creates the score, after previously composing for 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible and the critically acclaimed documentary For Sama.
The film features the professional Italian free driver Alessia Zecchini, and the Irish safety diver Stephen Keenan. Free diving is a dangerous but thrilling sport that involves deep diving without any scuba gear or oxygen tanks. In the documentary, Alessia’s goal is to descend into the Blue Hole in Egypt.
