Synopsis
The Trask family is ripped apart by betrayal and longing after moving to the Salinas Valley
In the early 1900s, Adam Trask meets and falls for the mysterious Cathy, after she turns up half dead on his doorstep. They get married and move across the country to the Salinas Valley in California, where Adam sets up a farm with their children, twins Cal and Aron. But the moody Cathy abruptly abandons the family, leaving to start a new life as a brothel madam in the nearby town—an act that has ricochets across the generations.
