Synopsis

When people in the silo start dying, an engineer sets out to find the truth behind their dystopian world

In a dystopian future, people live underground in what are known as ‘silos’ that operate under strict government rule. But when people start to die mysteriously, an engineer, Juliette, starts to uncover the truth about their society.

Rebecca Ferguson stars in Apple TV’s adaptation of Hugh Howey’s sensational book series Wool

Silo Season 1 is the first season of the sci-fi dystopian series produced by Apple TV+. The series is based on author Hugh Howey ‘s book series called Wool, which became a best-selling sensation after he self published the first book in 2011. The series takes place in a dystopian future in which humans cannot live on the earth’s surface and therefore occupy underground silos. Graham Yost creates and adapts the script for the series, and Morten Tyldum executive produces and directs parts of season 1. 

Rebecca Ferguson (Dune) executive produces and stars in the series as the intrepid engineer Juliette. David Oyelowo plays Holston, the sheriff of the silo. Tim Robbins portrays Bernard, the leader of IT, and other key cast members include Rashida Jones, Common, and Ian Glen, among others.
