Freshman Year takes place on a parallel timeline to the Tom Holland’s MCU Spider-Man
Spider-Man: Freshman Year is an upcoming animated series produced by Disney. While the series takes place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it is not part of the main MCU timeline. This leaves room for new stories and outcomes taking place on a parallel timeline that do not affect the life of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. Jeff Trammell (Craig of the Creek) writes the 10-episode series.
While the series features Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man), Harry Osborn, Jean Foucault, Lonnie Lincoln, Amadeus Cho, Nico Minoru, and Pearl Pangan, no voice actors have been attached to the parts. However, Charlie Cox will voice Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil) in the series, bringing the role into animated form after portraying the character in live action on Netflix and in the MCU. He will be joined by Paul F. Tompkins, who voices Marvel villain Bentley Wittman (aka The Wizard).
