In the midst of the Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin looks back fondly on his relationship with English preacher George Whitefield. Despite their numerous differences and Franklin’s initial skepticism for religion, the two men have an abiding respect for one another. In the latter stages of the Convention, Franklin has an unexpected turn toward God and infuses his newfound spirit into the most important foundational process in American history.
