Best in Show (2000)

A comedy mockumentary written and directed by and starring Christopher Guest

The Mayflower Dog Show takes place in Philadelphia and invites dogs and their trainers from across the nation to compete. Gerry and Cookie Fleck arrive with their Norwich terrier named Winkey, although Cookie is the one receiving all the attention. Meg and Hamilton Swan arrive from Chicago with Beatrice, a Weimaraner who is overly pampered. Harlan Pepper brings his bloodhound, Hubert, all the way from the South, while Sherri Ann is a two-time former winner with her poodle, Butch. Finally, Scott Donlan and Stefan Vanderhoof bring along Miss Agnes, a Shih Tzu who seems poised to take first prize.
