Synopsis
Planeswalker, Gideon Jura is an enigmatic warrior mage on a quest. Traveling the plane of Ravnica, Gideon stands between the city's magnificent halls and the shadowy shantytown. He must stay loyal to his companions and true to his values even as the darkness grows and readies itself for an attack.

Magic: The Gathering Season 1 is an upcoming animated fantasy television series. The show is based on the tabletop role-playing game of the same name and is developed by Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast and Netflix. Magic: The Gathering Season 1 has animation heavweight Jeff Kline as executive producer and series creator. Kline is a multi-award-winning writer and producer who heads up the team of creatives in charge of adapting the rich folklore of the source material.
Story editor and co-executive producer, Steve Melching is known for his work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, another acclaimed animated show. Izzy Medrano is the art director for the series. Medrano has a host of impressive video game credits including handling the senior visual development for the God of War series, and the 1997 Magic: The Gathering video game. The team is rounded out by writers Taneka Stotts, Dan Frey, Nicole Dubuc, and Russell Sommer. Canadian animation house Snowball Studio is handling the visual styling of the series. The cast is led by Brandon Routh, known for his iconic portrayal of Superman in Superman Returns. Routh voices the main character Gideon Jura in this animated adventure.
