Synopsis
A second season of the hugely popular Squid Game comes to the small screen
The end of the previous season saw Gi-hun beat the odds and become the winner of the deadly game, earning billions of won. But the game continues in season 2 with new players as the mystery of the game continues to unfold.

Squid Game Season 2 is an upcoming season of a drama series produced by Siren Pictures for Netflix. The show was written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk. It is also known as Squid Game: The Challenge.
The series features a deadly competition in which 456 highly indebted contestants risk their lives to win the prize money. The title of the series is based on a Korean children's game of the same name. Hwang was inspired by his own financial struggles for the series. The writer wrote the story in 2009 but couldn't find anyone to fund the project until Netflix joined the project in 2019. A slew of new cast members for the second season include Park Gyu-Young, Jo Yu-Ri, Kang Ae-Sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-Uk, Choi Seung-Hyun, Roh Jae-Won, and Won Ji-An.
