Synopsis
The Tobin family is back together and falling apart, all over again. Following this sometimes-functional family in Alaska, The Great North sees single father Beef doing his best to relate to his kids. Beef Tobin is an earnest and loveable fisherman who has spent years pretending that his ex-wife died tragically. Despite all the children knowing that their mother made the choice to leave, they allow Beef his illusion while he comes to terms with it. Judy is the artistic spirit of the family who longs for a life outside of their small remote town. She shares a deep bond with her openly gay brother Ham who has become the town’s ‘cake lady’. Eldest sibling Wolf Tobin and his partner Honeybee Shaw are always around as is Moon Tobin, the stoic ten-year-old known for his exploring. The family has a whole new slate of adventures this time around as they cajole and console each other through the absurd happenings in Lone Moose, Alaska.

The Great North is an adult animated sitcom. It is created by the Molyneux Sisters and Minty Lewis for the Fox Broadcasting Company. Loren Bouchard is involved as executive producer.
The cast for this animated show includes comedian and carpenter Nick Offerman as the loveable father of the family, Beef Tobin. Jenny Slate portrays the arty-daughter Judy Tobin who is visited by Alanis Morissette playing herself as a spirit in the Northern Lights. Former Saturday Night Live cast member Will Forte plays Wolf Tobin with stand-up comedian Dulce Sloan portraying Honeybee Shaw. Fellow comedians and performers Paul Rust and Aparna Nancherla round out the comic ensemble as Ham Tobin and Moon Tobin respectively.
