Synopsis

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is an upcoming action-comedy film produced for Lionsgate Films. Acclaimed action director Guy Ritchie (Snatch, Sherlock Holmes) helms the production, adapting a screenplay written by Arash Amel, Paul Tamasy, Eric Johnson, and Ritchie that is based on the true story of the first British Black Ops The covert operations, documented in Damien Lewis’ book Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: How Churchill’s Secret Warriors Set Europe Ablaze and Gave Birth to Modern Black Ops, took place during World War II, and saw a tight-knit group of secret operatives subvert the rules of warfare to defeat the Nazis.

The cast of the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare includes Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, Argylle) as Gus March-Phillipps, the founder of the small black ops crew, Eiza González as an expert sniper, Alan Ritchson as Danish operative Anders Lassen, Alex Pettyfer as British operative Geoffrey Appleyard, and Freddie Fox as James Bond scribe Ian Flemming. The star-studded cast is rounded out by Cary Elwes, Til Schweiger, Henry Golding, Babs Olusanmokun, and others.
