What is Bodkin about?

Bodkin is a true crime comedy series produced by Higher Ground Productions for Netflix. The series focuses on a podcasting team searching for a new story in an idyllic Irish village. Bodkin is created by Jez Scharf, who previously wrote short films Mister Biscuits and The Undream. Scharf is also the series’ showrunner along with Alex Metcalf, who is known for his work on The Loudest Voice and Sharp Objects. The series marks Barack and Michelle Obama’s production studio Higher Ground’s first scripted drama for Netflix.

Comedic actor Will Forte (SNL, The Last Man on Earth) stars in Bodkin as Gilbert Power, an American podcaster hunting for a new story in Bodkin. He is joined by Siobhan Cullen, who plays Dove, an investigative journalist in crisis who joins the podcast team, and Robyn Cara as Emmy, the third member of the team who is in awe of Gilbert. Other cast members include David Wilmot, Chris Walley, David Pearse, Clodagh Mooney Duggan, Peter Bankolé, and others.
