Synopsis
Spider-Man: Freshman Year reveals the origin story of the web-slinging superhero teen. Freshman Year follows Peter Parker as he discovers the scope of his new powers. He'll be working through a variety of different Spider-Man suits as he learns what it means for him to be the friendly, neighbourhood hero. He'll be joined on the journey by friends and foes alike including; Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Harry and Norman Osborne, the Rhino and Scorpion. Amidst the chaos and action, Peter Parker is also just a regular teenager facing the challenges of his freshman year at college.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is an upcoming animated superhero series set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The show is the third animated series in the MCU and part of Phase Five. Confirmed directors of the show include Liza Singer, Stu Livingston, and Melchoir Zwyer. This ten-episode series is written by Jeff Trammell, who is known for his work on the show Craig of the Creek.
Which animation studio is behind Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man?
The Japanese Animation studio, Polygon Pictures handles the animation for the series. They are best known for their work on Transformers Prime, Tron: Uprising, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Hudson Thames stars in the lead role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Thames has previously portrayed Spider-Man in the Marvel animated show What If...? Eugene Byrd voices Peter Parker's classmate Lonnie Lincoln. Grace Song voices Nico Minoru. Hugh Dancy is the villain Doctor Octopus. Kari Wahlgren voices May Parker while Zeno Robinson stars as Harry Osborn. Charlie Cox reprises his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil.
Is Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man the same as Freshmen Year?
This animated Spider-Man show was originally titled Spider-Man: Freshmen Year. It was intended that the second season of the show would be titled Spider-Man: Sophomore Year. It was however renamed in December 2023 to Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
