Synopsis
Godzilla and Kong face off against the island's oldest and most dangerous threat yet
Skull island is in danger. A mysterious monster from a long forgotten era has suddenly risen, and is threatening to tear down the entire island. Kong and Godzilla are humanity's only hope for calming this unidentified monster, and finding out the true reason behind his fury.

Filmmaker Adam Wingard directs the grand sequel to Godzilla vs Kong
Godzilla vs Kong: The New Empire is an American monster film produced by Legendary Pictures, and distributed by Universal Pictures. The movie is a direct sequel to the 2021 film Godzilla vs Kong, and the fifth film in the MonsterVerse franchise. The movie is also the 38th Godzilla film ever made.
Filmmaker Alex Wingard and screenwriter Terry Rossio of Godzilla vs Kong fame collaborate again to bring the sequel to life. Simon Barett, best known for writing You're Next, and Jeremy Slater, the writer of Moon Knight, have worked alongside Terry on the screenplay of the film.
Rebecca Hall reprises her role as Dr Ilene Andrews. She is joined by Brian Tyree Henry who continues to play the role of Bernie Hayes, and Kaylee Hottles as Jia. Dan Stevens, Alex Fern, and Fala Chen complete the rest of the cast.
