Synopsis

Threatened by an ancient power, Aquaman must make a dangerous alliance to save Atlantis

Aquaman, the half-human, half-Atlantean, must step up to fulfil his royal duties once again as an old enemy with lethal ancient powers threatens to destroy Atlantis. In order to protect his home, Aquaman must form a partnership with his brother Orm, so that they can take down the villainous Black Mantra together.

Jason Momoa returns as DCEU superhero in Aquaman sequel

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is a DC Studios superhero film produced by Warner Bros. It is directed by Australian filmmaker James Wan, who is known for the first Aquaman film as well as the Saw and Insidious horror film franchises. The film follows on from the first Aquaman film as part of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), but Aquaman has also appeared in Justice League and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Much of the original Aquaman creative team returns, with a screenplay from David Johnson-McGoldrick (Red Riding Hood, The Conjuring 2), musical score from Hollywood veteran Rupert Gregson-Williams (Hotel Rwanda, The Holiday), and cinematography by Don Burgess (Forrest Gump, Spider-Man). 

Jason Momoa reprises his role as Arthur Curry / Aquaman, a half-human, half-Atlantean with the ability to speak with aquatic lifeforms. Reprising their roles are Amber Heard reprises her role as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Aquaman’s mentor and vizier of Atlantis, Nuidis Vulko, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen as King of Xebel, Black Manta. Patrick Wilson also returns as Orm Marius, the former king of Atlantis and Aquaman’s half-brother.
