Tron: Ares is an upcoming science fiction movie based on the original Tron characters by Steven Lisberger and Bonnie MacBird. The film is a sequel to 2010’s Tron: Legacy and the third film in the rebooted Tron movie franchise. A potential third Tron film was discussed at Walt Disney Pictures for many years, undergoing years of production delays and changes to the creative team until Joachim Rønning was hired as director.
