Keen fans of the Star Wars franchise will recognize Joel Edgerton for his role as Owen Lars in “Attack of the Clones” (2002), “Revenge of the Sith” (2005), and the Disney+ miniseries “Obi-Wan Kenobi” (2022). But Joel Edgerton has starred in a whole slew of films both within Hollywood and in his native Australian film industry. His major movie roles include “King Arthur” (2004), “Animal Kingdom” (2010), “Warrior” (2011), “Zero Dark Thirty” (2012), “The Great Gatsby” (2013), “Exodus: Gods and Kings” (2014), and “The Green Knight” (2021). His later career has seen him act as writer and director for movies such as “The Gift” (2015) and “Boy Erased” (2018) while also producing movies such as “The King” (2019), “The Stranger” (2021), and “Train Dreams” (2025).
