Dune: Prophecy

Dune: The Sisterhood is a TV series focusing on the Bene Gesserit, a matriarchal group devoted to training their mental abilities to obtain superhuman powers. In the Dune franchise, the group is known to have a long-term plan to direct humanity to enlightenment. The series is based on the Dune franchise created by acclaimed science fiction author Frank Herbert. In 2012, his eldest son Brian Herbert released the novel Sisterhood of Dune. Fans of Denis Villenueve’s 2021 adaptation of Dune will recognize the Bene Gesserit as the witching women who first test Paul Atreides with the Gom Jabbar – a mysterious box containing pain itself. The group also played a critical role in David Lynch’s 1984 adaptation of Dune.
