Synopsis
The New Truth tries to explain how someone survived the decree of death
For the first time, somebody has survived the decree. What was thought to be an irrefutable death sentence at the hand of supernatural monsters has been thwarted by a selfless sacrifice. When Song So-hyu and her husband Bae Young-jae protect their baby by offering their own lives they completely discredited the power of The New Truth movement. The religious cult is scrambling to explain events that they previously presented as impossible and the skeptics are growing. Among them is the freshly escaped Min Hye-jin who, alongside the newborn has escaped from the scene of the action where The New Truth and the police are trying to restore order. Stranger still is the corporeal resurrection of Park Jeong-ja which begs the question: is there a way back for those who are hellbound?

What is Hellbound Season 2 about?
Hellbound Season 2 is an upcoming dark fantasy horror television show. It is based on the webtoon Hell written by Choi Kyu-seok. The show is directed by South Korean director Yeon Sang-ho who is known for Train to Busan and Psychokinesis. Hellbound Season 2 is a Netflix Original.
Who is starring in Hellbound Season 2?
Kim Hyun-joo stars as Min Hye-jin. Park Jeong-min plays Bae Young-jae. Won Jin-ah stars as Song So-hyun while and Yang Ik-june plays detective Jin Kyeong-hoon.
Who are the new actors for Season 2?
For the second season, Kim Sung-cheol replaces actor Yoo Ah-in as the New Truth cult leader, Jeong Jin-soo. Hong Eui Joon, Lim Seong-jae, Cho Dong-in, Moon Geun-young, and Moon So-ri all join the cast for the second season.
Why is Hellbound Season 2 delayed?
Initially creator of the series Yeon Sang-ho announced that the story of the second season would first be told in the Webtoon before a live-action adaptation. The show was also delayed due to unexpected changes in the cast. Hellbound Season 2 began filming in August 2023.
