Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth headline Mad Max: Fury Road prequel movie ‘Furiosa’

Set before the events of Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa tells the origin story of how the titular character became a renegade warrior. Furiosa is directed by George Miller, and co-written by Miller and Nico Lathouris. Miller produces the film with his longtime producing partner, Doug Mitchell. Acclaimed costume designer Jenny Beavan, who worked on Fury Road, returns to the creative team alongside editor Margeret Sixel, and composer Tom Holkenborg. Simon Duggan serves as cinematographer on the film. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga was filmed in Australia between June - October 2022.

Anya Taylor-Joy stars in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga as the titular Imperator Furiosa. Taylor-Joy is known for starring in the Netflix miniseries The Queen’s Gambit, Last Night in Soho and The Super Mario Bros Movie. Chris Hemsworth co-stars as the villainous Warlord Dementus.
