Résumé
Red Kite tells the behind-the-scenes story of a secret military evacuation mission. In 2021, amid a global pandemic, the Taliban rapidly recapture large parts of Afghanistan. Against all international expectations, they reach the gates of Kabul on August 15. After twenty years of war, they dramatically seize control of the country. As chaos erupts in the capital, Belgium hastily launches an evacuation mission to bring stranded Belgian nationals home before Kabul's international airport—the last place still under Western control—falls. Five years after the events, people involved both on the ground and behind the scenes speak out for the first time in a gripping and surreal reconstruction.
