Synopsis
Truck racing champion's fate hangs in the balance after unwittingly joining a criminal enterprise
In the fiercely competitive world of truck racing, there can only be one ultimate champion. Roger and Rainha are equally matched for the title of the fastest and they both have their sights set on the next major prize. However, when Roger starts transporting goods for a criminal organization, everything takes a dramatic turn. Despite the benefits of his association with the gang, which helps him keep his team together, Roger finds himself in more peril than ever before. While his racing skills are impeccable, it will take much more than that to escape the clutches of the criminal group he has unwittingly gotten involved with.

City of God’s Thiago Martins leads in Netflix original action film
Overhaul (Carga Máxima) is a Brazilian action film directed by Tomas Portella for Netflix. It is produced by Gullane and TC Filmes with a script written by Leandro Soares. The film marks Netflix’s first ever original Brazilian action film. Portella has previously written a number of episodes for the The Walt Disney Company Latin America-produced Brazilian crime drama series, Impuros.
Thiago Martins portrays the lead character of Roger, a truck driver who becomes involved with a criminal organization. Martins is recognized for his previous work in the critically acclaimed Brazilian epic drama, City of God, which was released in 2002 along with several other popular TV shows in Brazil. Milhem Cortaz, Raphael Logam, Evandro Mesquita, Sheron Menezes and Paulho Vilhena round out the cast.
