After Bi Yao sacrifices herself to save Zhang Xiaofan, falling into a deep coma, Xiaofan is consumed by grief and desperation. In his quest to revive her, he aligns with the Ghost King and adopts the identity of Gui Li. Over the ensuing decade, Xiaofan exhausts all avenues to awaken Bi Yao, unaware that the Ghost King intends to exploit the Beast God's power for world domination. As Xiaofan's former allies from the Qing Yun Sect strive to thwart this plan, he faces a pivotal choice between his loyalty to the Ghost King and his enduring bonds with his friends.
