Sinossi
TRUDELL è un film documentario sull'attivista e poeta indiano americano John Trudell (1946-2015). Il film ripercorre la vita di Trudell dalla sua infanzia a Omaha, nel Nebraska, attraverso il suo ruolo di leader dell'Occupazione di Alcatraz e di Radio Free Alcatraz nel 1969, per servire come presidente del Movimento indiano americano dal 1973 al 1979. Copre anche la sua rinascita come poeta dopo che sua moglie è morta in un incendio di casa sospettato di incendio doloso. Heather Rae ha prodotto e diretto il film, che l'ha portata a completare oltre un decennio. TRUDELL presenta interviste con Robert Redford, Kris Kristofferson, Val Kilmer, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Sam Shephard e Amy Ray delle Indigo Girls.
