Seattle-area high school teacher Ron Podmore found his classroom increasingly filled with migrant students from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. As he built meaningful teaching relationships, he became curious about the stories and cultures behind their journeys, stories far richer and more complex than the narratives dominating American news cycles.
