劇情簡介
《海中獸》以小型運動攝影機在極端環境下拍攝，活現了北美洲漁業的一幅地獄圖。鏡頭下可見顛簸的海浪、甲板上血腥的漁獲堆積如山、長期工作而精疲力盡的水手要抽煙提神、大群虎視眈眈的海鷗加入狩獵，背景還有機器運轉低沉的雜音。全片幾乎沒有對白，那些令人震撼的場面不過是新貝德福海港（即1851年小說《白鯨記》的背景）捕魚船隊每天的日常。這部實驗紀錄片不但是一場有如身歷其境的影音經驗，更以近距離剖視了人類與大自然的永恆衝突。
