劇情簡介
大卫·林奇早年的短片《字母》中，有这样一景：一个大字英文字母“A"在血泊中生出一个小“a”。之后《祖母》中有关生的意象，则是从植物中蜕化出来。林奇对生、死意念十分执着，导致他几乎每一部影片中都有生与死的场景，而且林奇对“生”的描述总是负面的:黑暗、丑陋、邪恶、地狱般的景象;对“死”则形容得光明、尽善尽美，宛若天堂一般。
