Gloria is a tired misanthrope who discovers her life has meaning when she learns how to control a giant reptilian beast

Trading New York for her small-town home, Gloria is a washed-up, recently single alcoholic with no prospects. She takes up a job at a local bar, exacerbating her addiction but also allowing her a free pass to get drunk with her friends Oscar, Garth, and Joel. On the news one day, Gloria discovers that a monstrous creature has been unleashed on downtown Seoul in South Korea, but stranger still, she senses a strange connection with the beast. Testing out her theory with Oscar and the others, Gloria comes to realize that she and the kaiju have an unlikely bond that she can use to protect thousands of lives.
