The origin story of visionary chocolatier Willy Wonka

Before becoming the legendary chocolate factory owner with the velvet coat, top hat and cane, Willy Wonka was a quirky, lost soul. Wonka is a fantasy musical movie based on the character of Willy Wonka from Roald Dahl’s children’s novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The film is directed by BAFTA nominated Paul King, best known for directing Paddington, with a screenplay from Simon Farnaby.
