Synopsis

Set in modern-day Shanghai, Smile Code follows Gu Yi (Shen Yue), a cheerful and determined stand-up comedian who works at a magazine by day and performs comedy at night. Her primary goal is to make people laugh and find joy in their daily lives. During one of her performances, she notices Liang Daiwen (Lin Yi), a stoic audience member who remains unmoved by her jokes. Intrigued and challenged, Gu Yi becomes determined to make him smile.
