Emily Watson, Olivia Williams and Travis Fimmel set to star in Dune: Prophecy
Dune: Prophecy is an upcoming science-fiction drama television series. Set in Frank Herbert’s Dune universe, the series takes place 10,000 years before the first Dune novel. It is based on Herbert’s ‘Sisterhood of Dune’ novel, and acts as a prequel to the 2021 Dune film directed by Denis Villeneuve. Alison Schapker, known for her work on Alias and Altered Carbon, serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer. The show is created by Diane Ademu-John.
Acclaimed British actress Emily Watson (Chernobyl) stars in Dune: Prophecy as Valya Harkonnen, opposite Olivia Williams (The Crown) as Tula Harkonnen. Jodhi May stars as the formidable Empress Natalya, with Sarah-Sofie Boussnina as Princess Ynez and Shalom Brune-Franklin as the strong-willed Fremen woman, Mikaela.
Aussie actor Travis Fimmel (Boy Swallows Universe) plays Desmond Hart, with Mark Strong (Kingsman: The Secret Service) as Emperor Javicco Corrino, Jade Anouka (His Dark Materials) as Sister Theodosia and Chris Mason (Riverdale) as swordmaster Keiran Atreides.
