Synopsis
Three children discover a magical and horrifying secret
Helen Grace and her children Jared, Simon and Mallory move into their ancestral home, Spiderwick Estate. When the children stumble upon Arthur Spiderwick’s field guide to fantastic creatures, they come face to face with a fantastic ogre with nefarious intentions.

What is The Spiderwick Chronicles based on?
The TV series is based on The Spiderwick Chronicles fantasy book series written by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi. There are five books in the original Spiderwick series, and another three books in a second series ‘Beyond the Spiderwick Chronicles’.
There are also several companion books to the original series including Arthur Spiderwick’s Field Guide to the Fantastical World Around You.
Is the series related to The Spiderwick Chronicles movie?
There was also a 2008 feature film adaptation of The Spiderwick Chronicles books. The film was produced by Nickelodeon Movies and directed by Mark Waters. Freddie Highmore, Mary-Louise Parker and Sarah Bolger star in the film, with Nick Nolte, Seth Rogen and Martin Short in animated voice roles. The 2008 film adaptation is separate from The Spiderwick Chronicles television series released in 2024.
Is The Spiderwick Chronicles ok for kids?
