Synopsis

Tyler Rake returns on another mission involving rescuing a family from one of the world's deadliest prisons

Tyler Rake, who narrowly escaped death in the previous film, returns as an Australian operative specialized in covert military operations. He has been assigned to undertake a perilous mission to rescue the traumatized family of a cruel Georgian criminal from their captors in prison. This task requires him to embark on a deadly expedition, as he infiltrates one of the most dangerous prisons in the world. Tyler's troubles are further compounded by the fact that he is being pursued by a vengeful criminal seeking retribution.

Extraction 2 is an action-thriller film directed by Sam Hargrave for Netflix. It is the sequel to 2020's Extraction and is based on the graphic novel Ciudad written by Ande Parks, Fernando León González, Eric Skillman and Joe and Anthony Russo. The Russo Brothers wrote the story for the original Extraction along with Parks. The duo returned for Extraction 2 with story by credits and the screenplay written by Joe Russo. Stunt coordinator and frequent Russo collaborator, Hargrave, also returned to direct the sequel which is produced by the Russos and star Chris Hemsworth.

Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as former SASR operator turned mercenary, Tyler Rake. Golshifteh Farahani also returns to portray Nik Khan along with Adam Bessa as Yaz Khan. Idris Elba portrays the mysterious Man in the Suit. Daniel Bernhardt and Tinatin Dalakishvili round out the cast.
