Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is an upcoming coming-of-age sci-fi TV series created by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford for Disney+.
The series is set within the Star Wars universe and takes place simultaneously with The Mandalorian and its interconnected offshoots, all of which happen after the events in Return of the Jedi.
In an era marked by uncertainty and transformation, four kids travel through space within the deteriorating remnants of the Empire. Raised during the rise of a new Republic, this adventurous group undertake important journeys throughout the galaxy. Armed only with their own skills, the Skeleton Crew tries their best to adapt to their circumstances as they face numerous challenges.
The accomplished duo of director Jon Watts and writer Chris Ford created Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. Watts previously directed three Spider-Man films including Homecoming, Far From Home and No Way Home. The confirmed list of episode directors includes the Academy Award-winning duo The Daniels, who directed the acclaimed movie Everything Everywhere All at Once, as well as David Lowery, who directed The Green Knight. Other renowned directors such as Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard and Lee Isaac Chung, are also part of this impressive lineup.
The series, which was developed under the code name Grammar Rodeo, is being executive produced by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, both of whom have been involved in various Star Wars projects including The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.
Jude Law leads Star Wars: Skeleton Crew as a Jedi. Other cast members include Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Tunde Adebimpe and Kerry Condon.
