Reddick originally wrote the script as an episode for The X-Files but later decided to expand the story into a feature-length film.
Final Destination 2
Picking up one year after the events of the first movie, the second installment in the Final Destination franchise follows a group of college students on their way to spring break. The film opens with a spectacular and horrifying highway pile-up triggered by a logging truck, one of the most memorable set pieces in the series. What follows is a string of bizarre and brutal deaths, including a standout scene where a stoner is sliced apart by barbed wire. Final Destination 5 puts the suspense in suspension bridge. The film opens with a large group of people on their way to a corporate retreat, getting stuck on a suspension bridge that's on the verge of collapse. Among the group, Sam, an office worker, has a premonition of the disaster and manages to save several of his co-workers, including his recent ex-girlfriend and longtime best friend. The movie features a series of elaborate and memorable deaths, with Candice, a gymnast, snapping her spine during a gymnastics routine being one of the most shocking. Without giving away any spoilers, Final Destination 5 stands out because it ties back to the original film in a very surprising and clever way.
Final Destination: Bloodlines
The sixth movie in the Final Destination franchise, and by far the most ambitious one yet. Just as the name suggests, Final Destination: Bloodlines, goes beyond the core premise of the film, which involves death chasing a concentrated group of survivors in a series of dark and overly elaborate traps. Instead, the film picks up in 1969, on a fateful day where a woman named Iris Campbell saves a restaurant full of people from a near-death accident after having a vision. In the movie, death puts a bloody target on each and every descendant of the families who escaped him that tragic day.
