What to know
Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden star as lead spies in this Russo Brothers production
Citadel is a spy action thriller produced by Amazon Studios for Amazon Prime Video. The Russo Brothers, popularly known for their work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe serve as executive producers on this show. With a budget of over$200 million for the first season which features only six episodes, the show is considered as one of the most expensive series produced.
The show stars global sensation Priyanka Chopra Jonas as secret agent Nadia, and she’s joined by actor Richard Madden, for the role of agent Mason Kane. This is the second Hollywood TV series in which Priyanka makes a leading appearance, the first being her role as a FBI agent in the TV series, Quantico. Aside from this, she has also appeared in several Hollywood films such as Baywatch, Matrix Resurrections, and The White Tiger. Madden is known for his work on the television shows Game of Thrones and Bodyguard.
The leading pair is supported by Stanley Tucci playing Bernard, Lesley Manville as Dahlia, and Osy Ikhile as Carter. Ashleigh Cummings, Roland Moller, and Caoilinn Springall join the series as the expanded cast. Amazon has also shared that international spin-offs in Italy, India, and Mexico are already in the works.

The Russo Brothers confirmed their roles as the executive producers on the show, and director David Weil was signed on to take over the reshoots and bring the production back on track.
