Synopsis
ADDIE is a bright and sparky autistic girl dreaming of acceptance in a conservative community. Addie’s desire to be herself and protect her older sister KEEDIE from prejudice becomes entwined with a burning desire to honour the women of the past accused of being witches. When a meltdown in the woods reveals a strange jar, a historical mystery presents itself; a young noblewoman, MAGGIE, was accused of witchcraft but mysteriously vanished before she could be brought to trial. What happened to her, and was her older sister involved? As Addie campaigns for a memorial to the witches of Juniper, and tries to solve the mystery of Maggie’s disappearance, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery that brings new friends, new challenges and gives our audience a new way to look at the world. Past and present interweave in ten action packed episodes full of the joys of friendship, sisterhood, mystery and magic with a strong message about acceptance.
