Mizuki Ashiya (played by Maki Horikita), a bright and determined Japanese girl living in the United States. After becoming inspired by a high jumper, Izumi Sano (played by Shun Oguri), who she admires from afar, Mizuki decides to disguise herself as a boy and transfer to Osaka Gakuen, the all-boys school where Sano studies, with the goal of encouraging him to return to the sport he mysteriously quit.
