Rezumat
The newest residents and employees of the Mirador de Montepinar are peculiar, atypical, and motley. Situated on the outskirts of a large city, the new residential complex is home to a chaotic family, a couple of newlyweds, a Spanish Bridget Jones, the "official annoying guy" of the neighborhood, two early retirees, an antisocial, a mileurista, a soap opera star, two squatters and a family with children. These are just some of the characters in "La que se avecina." This crazy comedy is set in a modern building consisting of ten houses and four commercial premises, one of which is home to a new hairdressing salon. Its residents are both unique and heterogeneous. The show parodies the situations that arise in any community of neighbors that are coexisting with each other. There is gossip, affection, and hatred. Furthermore, the show explores the problems typical of a new urban building in Spain, such as the poor quality of construction and the complexity of the real estate sector, marked by the boom that the sector is currently experiencing. The escalation of prices which has made access to housing so difficult for young people and the speculation and problems arising from mortgages will also be parodied.
