Ryan Reynolds joins the MCU with third Deadpool film

Deadpool & Wolverine is an upcoming superhero action movie produced by Marvel Studios, and the third film in the Deadpool film franchise. Shawn Levy directs the movie, and has previously worked with both leading actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Levy directed Reynolds in Free Guy and The Adam Project, and Jackman in Real Steel. The writing team from the first two Deadpool movies, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, return to pen the third screenplay, based on a first draft from the Molyneux Sisters. Deadpool 3 is the superhero’s first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Ryan Reynolds returns as Wade Wilson / Deadpool, with Hugh Jackman reprising his role as X-Men character Wolverine. Emma Corrin stars in an undisclosed role as the lead villain, with Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al and Karan Soni as Dopinder. Rob Delaney also returns as Peter from Deadpool 2, while Matthew Macfadyen is cast in an undisclosed role.
